Great location, friendly staff, but could do better.
Super friendly and helpful reception staff. Check-in was easy and on time. The buffet style breakfast is great, there are a lot of options to choose from. Breakfast runs from 7.30 through to 10am so there's plenty of time to get it, and it means it's not always busy. In fact, it's the opposite, it's quite quiet. The restaurant was refurbished a few years ago and it's a lovely space to be in, especially in the morning as the floor to cieling windows let the low hanging sun shine through. There is a mini market in reception that has nearly everything you need, it doesn't have fresh produce but there is another market just 10min walk down the main road. The hotel is in the perfect location, right next to the ski resort and close to the start of lots of walking and biking trails. The room I stayed in was clean and looked out onto the ski resort and wilderness beyond.
The room was quite a walk from the reception, and there are no lifts so I had to juggle my heavy bags down a flight of stone stairs... there must be a better way of doing this in this age, even without a lift. Maybe a porter? Or a baggage trolley or something? This is really odd but I'm not the only person to comment on it, my room was at the end of a long corridor, which had several metal doors en route. Every time I opened the doors I got a static shock! So after realising this I had to use my elbow to open the doors everytime I went in and out of the hotel, very odd. The radiator in the room wasn't good enough to dry things overnight ready for the next day on the slopes. It simply doesn't get hot enough, and the design of it is poor, it's a very thin sheet of metal which is hard to hang your clothes on. There was another 'warm cupboard' in the bathroom but this was also quite poor, it didn't seem to dry your gear. Just slightly warms them up, if that. That was really disappointing for a ski in hotel. The plug socket "near to the bed" in the room was actually under the headrest of the bed, which meant to access and use it I had to pull the bed away from the wall, plug my stuff in and then push the bedframe back against the wall. This was fine for me but others may struggle and it's just not ideal. For close to £150 per night, I didn't think it was great value.

Very Good
Breakfast was as to be expected. Not superb but more than good enough.
The restaurant menu became rather dull after three days. Food was ”ok” but not an experience. The dining area itself was very nice.
